Expat Transitions Coaching

Being an expat is exciting and scary all at once!

Living in a new country, with its new customs and new language can feel exhilarating at first, but for some this initial excitement wears off and transmutes into feelings of:

  • homesickness

  • isolation

  • loneliness

  • anxiety

  • listlessness

and so on…

This experience is amplified if you’re the unemployed spouse of a partner who received a job abroad.

Jobs for English-only speakers can be scarce internationally.

If you’re a person who’s accustomed to the busy-ness of a workplace the endless hours of free time can begin to feel more like an unstructured prison.

If any of this sounds like your story, I’m here to let you know I understand and I’d like to help.

I’m entering into my fourth year living abroad and I’m pretty darn familiar with all those unpleasant feelings I listed above.

If you work with me as a transitions coach I will learn your experience in a way that allows me to tailor solutions that are workable to your lifestyle.

To amplify the effectiveness of our work, you can opt to receive personalized hypnosis sessions and/or recordings to listen to.

In these recordings, I customize metaphors and create extended story arcs that reflect deep cultural, historical, and emotional patterns that are relevant to you.

This highly individualized approach can help to reach the deep places in your psyche that have been resistant to making the changes you consciously desire.

It’s time to move beyond the isolation of being an expatriate so you can begin to feel comfortable in your new home!
